El Jadida, a Unesco site, is located on the Atlantic coast around 3 hours from Marrakech and 1hr 20 from Casablanca. El Jadida was established as a settlement by Portuguese explorers in the 16th century. Its UNESCO heritage status is derived from its showcasing of the exchange of Moroccan and European cultures and influences. These include its citadel, ramparts, bastions and Catholic Church.
For groups and families the Mazgan Beach and Golf Resort is a great place to stay and has everything to keep golfers and non-golfers occupied as well as a fantastic selection of bars and restaurants and a casino. The Pullman hotel alongside Royal Golf El Jadida is another option once it has completed its refurbishment. Alternatively we feature a lovely boutique guest house El Jadida situated in an ancient and beautifully restored building adjacent to the ramparts. A great base to explore this interesting town with its fascinating history.
